Bahraini shura council

The Shura Council has affirmed its full support to efforts aimed at drying up the sources of corruption and overcoming the obstacles that hinder the country's development process.
In a statement issued marking the International Anti-Corruption Day, observed across the world on December 9, the Shura Council said that combating corruption is not the responsibility of the country alone, but a collective responsibility shared by the state bodies and NGOs, especially regarding raising awareness, stressing the role of moral values and Islamic principles like honesty and integrity.
The Shura Council lauded Bahrain's keen interest in consolidating financial and administrative stability and avoiding corruption through its monetary bodies, affirming the importance of serious parliamentary action to combat corruption through enactment of laws to strengthen the mechanisms of combating corruption so as to secure a better life and a prosperous future.
