The Southern Governorate has today hosted a traditional ardha show as part of festivities on Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa's Accession to the Throne.
Deputy Southern Governor Faisal bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi patronised the event at Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al-Fateh, hailing community partnership and citizens' keenness on taking part in the festivities. The show, which was performed by the National Guard Ardha, featured eulogic poems composed and recited by Ahmed Al-Badu, Jamal Al-Sardi and Essam Al-Da'es.
