Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa has received a cable of thanks from the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in reply to his cable of condolence over the death of a number of Egyptian citizens in Libya by the Daesh terrorist organization.
Sisi extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the King for his fraternal noble feelings, praising Bahrain's full solidarity with his country and backing of all measures it deems necessary to eradicate terror crimes, BNA News Agency reported on Wednesday.
He affirmed Egypt's determination to combat terrorism and counter extremist thought which, he said, has become a major threat to the countries of the region, and distorts the tolerant precepts of the Islamic religion.
Sisi said his country would cooperate with brotherly and friendly countries to uproot such an obnoxious phenomenon, and highlight the real image of Islam.
He wished the monarch abundant good health and happiness, and Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity.
