Health Minister Ahmed Emad Eldin Rady on Monday issued a ministerial decision to develop a medicine tracking mechanism for the first time in Egypt.

Two-dimensional bar codes will be used to track medicines from factories to pharmacies.

All medicine manufacturers, importers and distributors in Egypt will be obliged to apply the decision within three months.
