Beirut - MENA
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that the issue of the kidnapped military elements concerns all the Lebanese, noting that the latest updates seem to be positive, the National News Agency reported.
During a meeting with a delegation of the families of the military captives in Ain Tineh, Berri said "be sure that every Lebanese, whatever his sect or affiliation... considers himself part of this case."
Berry demanded from relatives of the captives to give the chance for the people experienced in such matters.
He stressed the need to gather efforts and address this file with secrecy in order to guarantee the safe release of the soldiers.
The House Speaker stressed that "swap is on the table," adding that he is coordinating with MP Walid Jumblatt in this regard.
The speaker met before noon with UNIFIL Commander Luciano Portolano in presence of media adviser Ali Hamdan, with talks touching on the situation in Lebanon in general and the South in particular.
