An explosion hit the Giza district of Mohandseen early Thursday but no casualties were reported, a security source said.
The source told MENA that sappers rushed to the area to find the reason behind the blast and to comb the area in search of other explosives.
The facade of one of the shops located on Ahmed Orabi street where the explosion was reported was badly damaged, the source added.
