Security sappers Friday defused an explosive device planted by unknown people near the Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit (PBDAC) in Fayyoum's town of Ibsheway.
Acting upon a tip-off about a suspicious package near the bank, security forces and explosives experts rushed to the scene and managed to defuse the bomb.
An investigation was launched.
