Security forces on Thursday defused an explosive device outside the building of the Ministry of Supply and Foreign Trade.

The bomb was set to target the entrance leading to the office of Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafi, spokesman for the ministry Mahmoud Diab told MENA.

Diab said Hanafi was in the cabinet's weekly meeting and was not present at his office.
