A booby-trapped vehicle exploded on Thursday in southwestern the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

The car was parking on a side of a road when it went off leaving dozens of civilians injured, according to a security source and eyewitnesses.

The security forces cordoned off the scene of blast. Meanwhile, the wounded were rushed to hospital to receive treatment.
