Supply Ministry Undersecretary in Sharqiya Hamdi el Sherbiny said that the crisis of the butane gas cylinders witnessed a breakthrough.
As many as 66,000 cylinders are offered now for daily local consumption, he noted.
Supply inspectors were assigned to ensure that the cylinders are bought at their original prices and to fight the black market.
Campaigns will be intensified in restaurants and poultry farms to ban the use of cylinders, el Sherbiny underlined, adding that violators will be referred to the general prosecution.
