British Ambassador in Beirut Hugo Shorter said his country provided 450 million dollars to support Lebanon during the past years to host more than 1.5 million Syrian refugees.

The remarks were made on Thursday during the inauguration of two projects supported by the UK in Lebanon. 

He praised the outcome of conference of donors held in London.

The British diplomat called on the international community and the Lebanese Government to fulfill their commitments.
