Brotherhood elements have bought off some non-commissioned police officers to stage protests in Sharqiya governorate and suspend work at some police stations, a well-placed security source said.

In statements to MENA on Saturday, the source said the Interior Ministry will take all needed legal measures against those who incited and participated in the protests.

A number of non-commissioned officers held a protest earlier Saturday outside the Sharqiya governorate building to call for improving their living and work conditions. Consequently, work was suspended in a number of police stations.
