The cabinet convened its weekly meeting on Tuesday under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to discuss a set of political, economic and social files concerning the improvement of services offered to citizens as well as the government program.
The cabinet also followed up the implementation of a number of mega projects in light of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. It also probed mechanisms and urgent measures to settle the budget deficit, security measures as well as the runoff elections of the second phase of parliamentary elections.
The cabinet is also scheduled to discuss a set of reports on prices, market control and basic needs and commodities that should be available for citizens.
The Supply Ministry has recently deployed mobile vehicles to distribute low-priced commodities in all Egyptian governorates in cooperation with mega markets and popular retail shops in implementation of directives of President Sisi to take care of limited-income people.
The cabinet also reviewed the government program that will be floated to the new House of Representatives upon its formation.
