Cairo Criminal Court delayed till April 2 the retrial of 16 defendants who face charges of involvement in "cabinet incidents" case.
They were sentenced in absentia.
The defense said the defendants did not commit any crimes attributed to them.
Statements of the witnesses for prosecution need to be annulled as they were contradictory, the defense said.
Also, inquiries of the security forces did not include any statements of eye-witnesses.
