The cabinet, under Sherif Ismail, issued on Wednesday a decision determining duties of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the House of Representatives.

Under the decision, the ministry will be tasked with reviewing all draft laws submitted to the Cabinet and conducting legal research to solve issues raised by the cabinet or the parliament speaker.

The ministry will be entitled also to supervise the files of transitional justice and human rights, and review international reports in this regard.

The ministry will also represent the government in the Parliament and assume any other tasks assigned by the prime minister.
