Cairo International Airport is gearing up to receive international delegations to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Suez Canal on August 6.

Chairman of Cairo Airport Company (CAC) Ahmed Genina hold a meeting Tuesday with the airport staff to coordinate efforts to upgrade the airstrip of the airport.

He further ordered removing debris and painting all buildings of the airport.

Genina noted that a working group will be formed to inspect roads inside the airport and reduce overcrowding outside terminals.
