Security forces at Cairo International Airport were put on high alert after finding two bomb-like objects at the arrival hall on Tuesday.
Investigators are examining surveillance cameras to determine who planted them, a senior security source at the airport said.
A bomb disposal squad reached the airport with sniffer dogs to search for any explosives.
Meanwhile, an airport source said the aviation movement was not affected by the incident.
