Cairo Airport security authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle 55,000 dollars.

Two Egyptian passengers tried to smuggle the money to buy goods from the UAE, the airport's security chief Fahmi Megahed said Tuesday.

Legal measures were taken against the two passengers.
