Security agencies have managed to identify the criminals who killed 11 year old Ahmad Mohamad Hussein during an attempt to steal his father's car on the ring road, near Maadi, Cairo days ago.
A security source said an exchange of fire occurred with some of the highwaymen who had criminal records, adding that their arms were seized.
The arrestees confessed they took part in a gang to steal cars by force and under threats with arms.
They also committed similar crimes in the past, the source added.
