Cairo Criminal Court has frozen assets of former petroleum minister Sameh Fahmi and businessman Hussein Salem and a number of their relatives and officials of an oil company based on a decision issued by the general prosecution.

Also, the assets of Salem's wife Nazima Abdel Megid, his children Khaled and Magda, wife of former minister Fahmi and Saeed Abdel Megid and Elsayed Salama, two officials at the oil company and their wives were also frozen.
