Cairo Governor Galal El-Said said he held a meeting with police chiefs and military commanders to discuss security measures and preparations on Friday's protests called for by extremist Islamist groups.
"All vital facilities and buildings will be fully secured by police and army troops on Friday," the governor said.
He said all district heads will be stationed at their offices in coordination with the police.
