Cairo governor Galal Moustafa Saeid has decided to suspend five employees at the Shoubra neighborhood department for two months or until a probe into alleged negligence is over.

They will only receive half their salaries until then, Saeid said Wednesday, stressing negligence will not be tolerated.

Saeid was on a tour of the neighborhood and was unpleased with the level of cleanliness in the area of el Sahel and at the Aboud bus terminal.
