Cairo Governor Galal Saeed headed to hospital to visit the persons injured in an explosion that occurred outside the Italian consulate in downtown Cairo on Saturday.

The hospital doctors confirmed that all the cases are stable.

The governor ordered the formation of a panel to examine the old buildings located behind the consulate to ensure their safety.

The explosion left one person killed and at least four injured according to a Health Ministry statement.
