Cairo - MENA
The National Council for Arab and Egyptian Tribes (NCAET) on Monday said the Cairo-hosted meeting of Libyan chieftains was an opportunity to save the unity of the north African nation.
"We hope the tribal conference helps close the ranks of Libyans as the country is facing immense dangers from extremist groups," the council's vice-president Ahmed Raslan said.
"The huge participation at the conference proves that Libyans are able to be unified for the sake of Libya," he said.
