Cairo security chief Osama Bedair visited Friday an officer, who was injured in a blast near his home in Helwan.

The officer, identified as first lieutenant Mohamed Samir, was wounded after an explosive device planted in a sewage cesspool three meters away from his house went off while he was parking his car in Helwan.

Bedair inquired after the injured officer at the Police Hospital in Agouza district of Giza.
