Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa on Friday said that calls for protests on the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution should be strongly encountered by all.

In a meeting with a number of imams in Beheira governorate, the minister stressed the importance of maintaining security and stability.

Egyptians now have two options: to build or sabotage their country, Gomaa said, urging Egyptians to choose the first one.

He stressed the importance of renewing the religious discourse and the role of imams in this respect.
