Egypt's Central Auditing Organization (CAO) on Saturday denied media reports it had asked for re-opening the case of the "presidential palaces".
In statements to MENA, CAO's Spokesman Osama Al Maraghy said these reports are totally false and groundless.
Earlier in the day, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and entrusted him with a caretaker mission until a new Cabinet is formed.
