Security bodies at Cairo Security Directorate thwarted an attempted armed robbery of one of the citizens in Downtown.
A security patrol in Downtown received a report from an owner of a car exhibition, in which he said that three gunmen riding a car robbed him at gunpoint while he was on his way to one of the banks to deposit 1.5 million pounds.
Immediately, all security patrols have been informed about the incident and one of the robbers was apprehended in Fom el Khalig. The two others fled the scene and the car was seized with the amount of money in it.
Intensified efforts are taking place to catch and arrest the other two robbers.
