Charred body of a kidnapped solider was found on Friday in a flamed ambulance near Sheikh Zuweid's Karam al-Quadis district, North Sinai, security sources said.

An ambulance carrying two soldiers along with the driver, was attacked by a group of unidentified gunmen while moving a soldier diagnosed as suffering from renal colic, the sources said.

The gunmen seized the vehicle and kidnapped one soldier.

Squads of security forces are deployed under warplane cover to hunt down the killers.
