A child was shot in the neck by a stray bullet in a picnic area in Souf town in the northern governorate of Jerash on Sunday.
He was initially transported to Jerash Government Hospital for medical treatment, though the hospital's director, Ali Mahasneh, said that the boy was later transferred to Al Bashir Hospital in Amman.
Security departments have opened an investigation, as they seek to apprehend the suspects.
