Visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping invited Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal to visit China.

During a visit of the Egyptian parliament Thursday, Xi said he came to the parliament HQ to congratulate the Egyptian people, through its lawmakers, on completing the establishment of state institutions and their legislative structure, according to a statement distributed on reporters.

China supports Egypt in fighting terrorism and the coming days will see an Egyptian-Chinese integration in all fields, the president has said.

Meanwhile, Speaker Ali Abdel Aal said China's peace-supportive stances are unforgettable.

The meeting was attended by the parliament's secretary general, deputy speaker and a number of parliamentarians.

The parliament speaker awarded the Chinese president with the 'medallion' of the House of Representatives.
