Voting in Bahrain

Voting is a national right and duty for every citizen, State Minister for Information Affairs Sameera Ibrahim bin Rajab stressed in the post-Cabinet meeting today.
She urged all citizens to exercise their inalienable constitutional right, voicing the government's all-time readiness to assume its role in protecting this right.
Concerning attempts by some to disrupt the next electoral process, the minister asserted that any violation will be dealt with by force of the law. She pointed out a comprehensive plan by the Interior Ministry to protect the forthcoming elections and safeguard citizens' constitutional right.
She also reiterated the government's resolve to enforce the law on anyone who attempts to disrupt the elections, stressing that true citizenship requires citizens to fully exercise their constitutional role to ensure continuity of the democratic process.
As for the contingency plan put in place by Bahrain for Ebola disease, the State Minister for Information Affairs re-emphasised that Bahrain is free of the disease, pointing out that the Health Ministry is publishing on its website all regulations taken to prevent the virus from reaching the kingdom.
