Civil protection authorities in Luxor dismantled a fake bomb in Luxor city Wednesday night.

Luxor Police Chief Major General Essam Al Hemali, received a report on finding a package which seemed like a bomb.

He promptly moved to the site accompanied by bomb experts.

All precautionary measures were taken, a security cordon was imposed, and mission accomplished without any losses, according to Al Hemali.

The police chief affirmed that security conditions in Luxor are stable, noting that security personnel are patrolling the city and bomb experts combing nearby areas.
