The Civil Service Bureau (CSB)'s President Ahmed bin Zayed Al Zayed said that the CSB on Monday will hold a specialized seminar on the experience of Bahrain in the development of civil service infrastructure under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and the Civil Service Council (CSC)'s Vice President, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The workshop comes at the initiative of CSB discussed during the twelfth meeting of ministers and heads of GCC civil service bureaus in Bahrain in October last year (2013).
Al Zayed said that senior civil service and human resources officials from the GCC countries, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s General Secretariat and governmental entities will participate.
He pointed out that the workshop will discuss five aspects of the civil service, the development of civil service regulations, the CSB's Performance Management System (ADA?), the Strategic Workforce Planning project, Salaries & Benefits codes and the challenges facing training in the civil service.
He said that the workshop participants will suggest many ideas that will raise the efficiency of civil service and human resources entities in the GCC and at the same time to take advantage of its recommendations to upgrade the level of services with respect to civil service, which improves civil service infrastructure, implement the directives of their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC countries, citizens welfare as they are the real wealth to build the nation, and reflect positively on the development of the civil service projects in all GCC countries.
Al Zayed emphasised the importance of the specialized workshop’s aspects, wishing all participants to avail of the workshop in light of the rapid transformations and successive developments in the field of human resources in the GCC countries, within the framework of intensive efforts realizable on the ground.
