Beirut - MENA
Hezbollah fighters clashed with gunmen from al Qaeda's Syria wing Nusra Front in eastern Lebanon near the borders with Syria on Tuesday.
A security source from the Lebanese town of Ersal told MENA correspondent to Lebanon that Nusra Front fighters attacked a Syrian town and a Lebanese town on the borders leaving victims from the two sides.
Hezbollah's television channel said a Hezbollah group repelled Nusra fighters attacks in "advanced positions" in the outskirts of the mountain towns of Toufeil and Britel. Nusra Front fighters have regularly been active in areas close to the Syrian border and have targeted Hezbollah and Lebanese army positions in the past.
