Clashes erupted on Wednesday between the Yemeni presidential guards and members of the Houthi group near Al Sabeen Square here.
The clashes took place while the Shiite group members were celebrating the Prophet's Birthday.
Three Houthis were wounded in the face-off.
Security forces sealed off the square as an agreement was reached to evacuate the area.
