Egyptian consulate in New York

The Egyptian consulate in New York on Friday organized a seminar to discuss economic, political and security situation and the development process in Egypt.

The event was attended by congressmen, army officers and representatives from B2 Strategic Center and the London Center for Policy Research.

They discussed the achievements made by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi including the planned inauguration of the New Suez Canal and the outcome of the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC), read a statement by Egypt's Foreign Ministry.

Also, they talked an initiative launched by President Sisi to reform the religious discourse and anti-terror measures adopted by the government, the ministry said.

Consul Ahmed Farouk presented evidences and proofs of the involvement of the Muslim Brotherhood in terrorist attacks in Egypt, including the assassination of Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat.

A film documenting crimes committed by the terrorist group against civilian was screened.

They expressed support for the government in fight for security and stability.
