Coordination with the Armed Forces is underway to shore up security in Beheira Governorate, northern Egypt, ahead of the January 25 Revolution's anniversary, the governorate's security chief said Wednesday.
Mohamed Ismail said forces were deployed around all police facilities and vital institutions in anticipation of any riots could occur during the celebrations and to foil plots of saboteurs.
Security measures were beefed up in all the government's cities and towns to secure the anniversary.
