The Court of Cassation rejected on Tuesday an appeal filed by Salafist politician Hazem Abu Ismail and upheld the seven-year prison term issued against him.

Last year, Cairo's Criminal Court sentenced Abu Ismail to seven years in prison for forging documents related to his mother's nationality during the 2012 presidential race.
