The Cairo criminal court sentenced in absentia 15 students to five years in prison and one attending to three years over their involvement in violent acts at Helwan University.

The court also slapped a two-month term against another student over the same case.

They are charged with committing acts of violence for the Muslim Brotherhood group and creating a group in violation of law named “students against coup.”
