Security forces Security forces launched Friday crackdowns in five provinces to establish security and arrest outlaws.
The crackdowns were conducted in provinces of Matrouh, Menoufia, Qena, Alexandria, and Minya.
In Matrouh, security forces foiled an attempt by 21 people to sneak through the Egyptian-Libyan border.
In Menoufia, security sappers defused a makeshift bomb detected near an electricity transformer in one of the province's villages.
Six supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood group were also arrested in Menoufia over taking part in an illegal protest.
In Menya, a drug trafficker was arrested with 350 grams of heroin in possession.
