Tunisia has declared a nationwide curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. due to attacks on public and private properties, state-run TAP news agenct said Friday.

The interior ministry announced that any violation of this measure is liable to prosecution.

Medical emergencies and night workers are the only cases allowed, added the statement.
