Daesh terrorist group claimed its responsibility for the suicide bombing that targeted a checkpoint in Aden, southern Yemen.
The offensive left seven soldiers dead and eight police personnel affiliated to the legitimate government injured, the BBC quoted Yemeni security sources as saying.
In a statement, the extremist organization said that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber named Oies el Adny.
The group vowed also Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and his government that it will conduct more terrorist operations during the coming days.
