The forces affiliated to Baghdad Operation Command proceeded Friday towards Karama Island in Anbar province in western Iraq.

The spokesman of Baghad Operations Saad Ma'an told MENA corespondent here that elements of Daesh terrorist group fled from the island when the Iraqi armed forces reached it.

Meanwhile, the media adviser of the Iraqi Defense Ministry Noseer Nuri said that the forces affiliated to Baghdad Operation Command caused losses and casualties to Daesh as it killed six terrorists, destroyed ten hotbeds of extremists and two vehicles during the last 24 hours.
