Daesh terrorist group in Libya tends to declare Libya’s coastal city of Sirte a state affiliated to it, after controlling several parts of the city, which was left with a security vacuum.
The Libyan air force launched several raids which targeted Alkarzabih air base in Sirte, according to "Akhbar Libya" website.
Daesh has seized control of a state-run radio station in Sirte, added the website.
The militant group also posted pictures showing armed men sitting in front of microphones in a broadcasting studio and brandishing Kalashnikov assault rifles, according to the website.
Since the 2011 uprising that toppled and killed dictator Muammar Qaddafi, Sirte, the former strongman’s hometown has become a stronghold of extremist groups.
Sirte is a bastion of Ansar al Sharia, an Islamist group blacklisted by the United Nations and the United States.
