Daesh has been increasing potentials to launch attacks outside Iraq and Syria, US National Security Advisor Susan Rice said on Sunday.

In an interview with the CNN TV channel, Rice said the US took the lead in fighting Daesh last year after the terrorist group took control of some Iraqi territories.

The US has exerted strenuous efforts to cut off Daesh sources of funding, she noted.
