A hardened criminal was killed during a fire exchange with the police in the Assiut city of Dairout, a security source said.
Security forces headed to the residence of the dangerous criminal, who is wanted over several charges of mugging and murder, but he opened fire at them, leading to an exchange of fire and subsequently his death, a security source told MENA.
