An observatory of Darul Iftaa deplored on Friday the demolition of a monastery by Daesh group in Syria.

The act is completely contradictory to all principles and teachings of Islam, said a statement released by the observatory which monitors extremism and Takfiri thought.

It asserted that Islam prohibits the destruction of places of worship of other religions.

Along with this crime, the terrorist group abducted scores of Christians in the Syrian town of Qariatain.
