Cairo - Arab Today
Balloting stations opened at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday on the second and last day of voting in the runoff elections of the second round of parliamentary polls.
The second stage covers 13 governorates of Cairo, Qalioubiya, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr el Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.
Parliamentary elections are the third and last obligation of the roadmap plan in Egypt.
Most of balloting stations opened on time after the arrival of members of judicial bodies who are overseeing the voting process.
The judges examined the tightly-sealed elections boxes to make sure they were untouchable.
Runoffs began on Tuesday for Egyptians at home over 213 seats out of 222 seats contested in the second stage.
Nine seats have already been secured in the second stage.
All list-based seats were won by For the Love of Egypt in the first and second stages.
