A defected Syrian army officer was killed in Lebanon's northeastern city of Arsal on Friday.

Medical sources told MENA that dissident Colonel Abdullah Hussein Al Rifai was came under attack from an unknown car, leading to his death on the spot.

He died of his serious wounds, the sources added.
